You’ll hear them before you see them, these dazzling rainbow lorikeets perched upon a branch in the afternoon light. They waddle from branch to branch, skipping over one another, wrestling for the prime perching spot.
 
I've been working on a series of Australian Wildlife recently, Specifically Australian Bird Life. I couldn't go past the Rainbow Lorikeets you see darting around the neighbourhood in the masses. These stunning birds are quite the larrikins, swinging on the branches and flipping upside down.
 
'Reasons for a Rainbow' is signed on the right hand side of the canvas. The sides are painted as a wrap around, continuing on from the painting.
